Theories only become true when tested by time. Sometimes what you think is important is the enemy of true effectiveness. How many people get anxious with waiting and just grab the first opportunity that comes because “They have to be doing something”? Waiting is not worrying, waiting is hoping. We often overlook what is in front of us in awaiting for what is ahead of us. It is not just what you are waiting on, it is who you are waiting on. You need to have complete confidence in God’s plan over your own priorities. Confidence is knowing that even when you can not control what is in front of you, you know that without a shadow of a doubt, God has got this.

“God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, they run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind”. (Isaiah 42:28-31 MSG)

 Who are you waiting on today? Are you trusting your current circumstances or are you waiting on God who is working on your behalf? As you choose to wait upon God, He will not only renew your strength, you will be able to run all the way to the finish line. Don’t despise the season that you are in because God is developing something in you for what is next. What you currently see is only a “sneak peek” of what God wants to do in you and through you. It is in this season of waiting that you discover who God is and who you are in God.

Sometimes a demand will come up where you will have to leave what seems important. You might be fulfilling all your responsibilities but in reality, you are neglecting what really matters which causes you to continue waiting. Real joy will always be found in the journey not the destination. Are your goals and passions (the desires of your heart) based upon the premise of what you want to acquire or who you want to be?

Our God is FAITHFUL. What you are doing now and how you are doing it now is the most important thing about what God will give you next. Your breakthrough is coming soon!

The flight you are on is getting prepared for landing. Remember, while you were waiting, God was working, opening doors, renewing your strength, opening your heart and mind to fresh and new ideas for the upcoming season, and removing things that stopped you from moving forward in your relationship with Him. What God started, He WILL finish. The Best is yet to come.
