The Best is Yet to Come.

I’m Back!

In 2015, I took a break from blogging to sketch out my dreams for every direction of my life for 2016.

My goal is to do everything with passion, purpose, perspective, and peace.

In order to accomplish what is ahead of me, I need to lay a solid foundation to walk into uncharted territory. Every year is filled with different seasons, one of them being a season of transition. In the second chapter of the book of Joshua, we see how he sent out two spies to Jericho. Joshua only sent two spies because in the season of transition, you have to shrink your circle to only the people who are going to see this season through the eyes of faith, so you can cease this season for all it is worth.

“ So the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the Lord had commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people hurried and crossed over. Then it came to pass, when all the people had completely crossed over, that the ark of the Lord and the priests crossed over in the presence of the people.”

Joshua 4:10-11 (NKJV)

It takes faith to cross over, to break out of the circumference of certainty into waiting in the waters of uncertainty. This kind of faith only makes sense on the other side. In order to cross over, it takes a faith that looks forward. Transition is hard because, everyone lost something in 2015, perhaps a dream. It is in the context of loss that God calls Joshua to cross over to what is next. The presence of God had to go before the people so that their eyes were not fixed on what they lost but instead; their eyes were fixed on what God was leading them ahead. Don’t let what is behind you make you miss what is before you.

Every month will teach you something. Take the experience that could have taken you out but didn’t and allow the next 11 months to teach you and take you to places you have never been before. In order to go somewhere we have never been, we need to do something we have never done. Get into agreement with God and with what He says about you. God wants you to speak in faith, for you to receive in reality.

Our perspective is limited by what we see on earth, which keeps us from recognizing the invisible and unlimited resources of our father in heaven. Be expectant for what is to come! The best stories are still untold and, the best lines are still unwritten.

It is my desire to be more generous, inclusive, and grace filled, enjoying the fulfillment of my purpose as I love others just as I am loved by God.

In this new season, what are you expecting for? What are your dreams and passions? Remember, the best is yet to come. I can’t wait to hear and see what God will do in your life as you allow the perfect artist to paint a master piece in the blank canvas of your life.
