What are you praying for?

If there is something I can’t help but talk about is my faith. As I grow my relationship with God every day, I have come to the realization that, faith is the essence of everything that we do and is the core of who we are as Christians. It is very easy to say that we know God is faithful, but what will release the supernatural and act as a catalyst of change is the belief that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, all that we ask, think, or imagine.

Maybe their is something that needs to be dealt with in your life that is beneath the thing you are asking God for, which seems to be more important. God doesn’t want to work just anything out for your good, He wants to work EVERYTHING for your good. We get so focused on what we want God to do for us that we miss out on what He first must do in us. In Second Kings, God shows us that He had to cure Naamen’s pride first before He could cure Naamen’s leprosy. What are some things in your life that need to be dealt with first before God can give you the desires of your heart? Don’t make what you want right now your primary focus because; getting to that place before time won’t benefit you, it will harm you. The key to the future you hope for is found in being faithful with the measure God has given you.

Sometimes it is hard to walk away from what seems perfect at the moment and what seems aligned with the present season of your life. However, there are certain things God is calling us to let go in order to move forward with what we are believing in faith for. Doing the right thing and being obedient to God allows you to move through the process faster and more aware of what is to come.

Go forth in the strength that you have, be comfortable in the place that you are at, and be confident in your purpose – and watch as God exceeds your every expectation and leads you into a wide, open, and spacious life. Get into agreement with what God says about you. Faith is heard before it is seen! You need to speak in faith to receive in reality. Hold tight to the vision God placed inside of you – strive less and envision more. A life with Christ is going where you’ve never gone and doing things that everyone said couldn’t be done. Remember, what God puts in your heart, He wants to make known through your life.
