I am Anointed.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

I wanted to start off by today’s post by thanking every person that reads, comments, and shares this blog to their friends and colleagues. My heart is full of so much appreciation and gratitude towards you and is so so thankful for the seeds that you sow in my personal life and in my blog; the truly mean a lot!

God has been speaking to me these past few weeks about the different I AMS that He speaks over His sons and Daughters. I spoke about last seek about being called and on Monday, I spoke able being able.

Today, I want to speak about being ANOINTED.

God addressed Samuel: “So, how long are you going to mope over Saul? You know I’ve rejected him as king over Israel. Fill your flask with anointing oil and get going. I’m sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I’ve spotted the very king I want among his sons.” “I can’t do that,” said Samuel. “Saul will hear about it and kill me.” God said, “Take a heifer with you and announce, ‘I’ve come to lead you in worship of God, with this heifer as a sacrifice.’ Make sure Jesse gets invited. I’ll let you know what to do next. I’ll point out the one you are to anoint.” (I Samuel 16:1-3 MSG)

If you know anything about this story, God is calling Samuel the prophet to go to the House of Jesse and anoint the King of Israel. Jesse had eight sons and seven of them went before Samuel to see if He would anoint one of them as king.  Yet God had called the youngest of them, David, who was out in the fields tending sheep. David was the eight son. Eight is the number of new beginnings. Isn’t our God AMAZING?!?!?!?!? From an unlikely place, God was going to birth a new king to His people. David was singled out by God with special favor and responsibility and so are YOU. Our God doesn’t just call you; He qualifies you. Remember, the Lord looks at the heart and the anointing that is on your life is within you. The spirit empowers you and equips you to accomplish the assignment that is on your life.

I LOVE the example of David because He took care of sheep. I don’t mean to offend anyone but, that is not the greatest job out there. If you continue to read in chapter 16, after Samuel had anointed David as King, the spirit of the Lord left Saul and a dark spirit settled on Him. Saul was searching for a musician and one of his servants speaks of David stating “I know someone. I’ve seen him myself: the son of Jesse of Bethlehem, an excellent musician. He’s also courageous, of age, well-spoken, and good-looking. And God is with him.”(verse 18 MSG) Don’t you find it interesting that David was courageous, well-spoken, good-looking to name a few yet, He was not Jesse’s “first choice” to bring to Samuel. Jesse called David the “runt of the litter”. Just because you can’t see ____________ (gifting or calling {You name it}) on your life, does not mean you are not significant because in reality; you hide the things you really care about.

You are Valuable.

You are Anointed.

Sometimes when you are not seen, God is saving you for something so special that He hides you to protect you and preserve you.

It is the things that no one sees that produce everything that everyone wants. Keep doing what you are do with a greater awareness of what Christ is doing in you. You don’t need a “new and improved” assignment to experience a greater anointing.  God will increase your strength in the demands of the situation.

Go and make a difference with what you have!

You have nothing to prove and only one to please.
