Unlocking Your Best Next!

When NFL players end a football season, they begin training for the next in their “off season.” This is a time of preparation where athletes can work on the different skillsets that will propel them to be the best player for their team in the following season. One thing that God really taught me in Charlotte and continues to remind me about as I write this post in Miami is the importance of connecting with Him and with others from a place of complete vulnerability.

You have Overcome!

When you understand that Christ lives in you and gives you the power to overcome, you have the ability to change your perspective. You have to decide if will you be affected by the people and situations in your life or will you affect the people and the situations in your life.

22

52 weeks ago, I celebrated my 21st birthday and here I am again celebrating my 22nd. One of the best ways you can be intentional with your life is to always be growing. The decisions you make today determine the stories you tell about your life tomorrow. So, the best decision you can make is always the next one. People who never get started leave no room for ambiguity. Therefore, decide today to take steps that will move you closer to becoming all that God has made you to be. I know that It takes a lot of courage and bravery to step out in faith but we were not meant to stay confined within the limits of fear.

Take Courage

What is stopping you from reaching your goals? What is holding you back from taking that trip, starting that business, publishing that book, losing that weight, writing that song, filming that tutorial……?( and the list can go on forever……) I believe it is not because we lack motivation to start something or, because we have lost the drive to complete it.

Perspective Dictates Direction

The vantage point from which you see things will determine the art you create. You cannot mentor (teach, lead, counsel) people whose perspective you are not willing to understand.

If God places you somewhere, He wants you to take responsibility for the people (and the place) He has given you.

A New Season, A Different Spirit

Seasons change but the Savior NEVER does. You can’t choose your season but, you can choose your spirit. We can be fruitful, faithful, and passionate Christians in every single season of our lives because Jesus comes with us throughout.

Faith is preparing before the blessing comes. Having a plan b is unnecessary when Jesus is on your side. Don’t dig up in doubt what you planted in faith. In the kingdom, there is no plan b. God is your everything.

Getting it Right

trusting God completely, you’re no longer at the mercy of circumstances, other people, or your own emotions and limitations. It’s all about following God’s leading, standing on His Word, and then resting + trusting Him to work on your behalf.

Be Still

Faith does not come from striving; it comes from surrendering. It is not the product of works; it is the product of yielding. In the midst of it all, regardless of what you and I may be facing today, we need to remember that, the answer to it all is sitting at the feet of Jesus.
