It can be so easy to get caught up in the worries of yesterday, the tasks of today, and the uncertainties of tomorrow, that one can forget to focus on the ever-present moments that make up one’s day. Don’t beat yourself up over what might have happened or what might have been; this can cause you to miss out on what God wants to teach you in the present.
You can be certain of this: Your life is steered by something.
I know in my own life I strive daily to walk by faith and not by sight.
I have learned so many things in my personal walk with God and there are a few thoughts that come to mind.
- I am led by the spirit.
- My strength is not my own, it comes from the Lord.
- I need to stay true to the gift that is on my life.
- There is something special about being comfortable in my grace zone.
- Confidence is key.
Ok, I know what you are thinking. “Dani, why should I know as a reader these lessons that you have learned? How are they applicable to my life”? The answer is simple: All these truths can be true for you too! You may have not discovered this yet but you will, especially that confidence one. When you are confident in your calling, watch how God exceeds your every expectation and leads you into a wide, open, and spacious life! The ability to enjoy this grand, expansive life I am talking about is directly proportional to your ability to love everyone, especially those who are different from you. Unconditional and inclusive love fuels the big life you want to and are called to live. When you thrive spiritually (internally), blessings outwork themselves through every area of your life. Every song is written to a good melody and, the melody of your heart determines the song (“story”) of your life. How you live your life will reflect the outflow of your heart.
What God put in your heart, He wants to make known through your life. I wrote about confidence being a main key in the beginning and, I know the key to the future you hope for is found in being faithful with the measure God has given you.
“You are my friends when you do the things I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father. You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you. But remember the root command: Love one another.” (John 15:14-17 MSG)
