I am Called.

Recently, I noticed I always get asked the same question by different people. “Dani, why did you start your blog”? “What is the purpose behind Flourishing by Faith”? The answer is simple. I remember being in Dallas, TX last summer and listen to God vividly tell me this: “You are called to be salt and light on this earth. As salt, you make life “taste” better. As light, you shine with the Spirit of God and provide direction for those around you. You are called to #FLOURISH! Walk in humility and thankfulness and you will change the world, one soul at a time”. Immediately when I heard that, I couldn’t help but rejoice in the calling that God had placed on my life and had downloaded in my heart. This is not something that is reserved for Dani Ruiz only; this enormous and unfathomed purpose is true for you too!

“God can do anything you know- far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within is”. Ephesians 3:20 is by far one of my favorite verses in all of scripture. I love this verse so much because, I see how Paul is writing this to the church in Ephesus and he is encouraging them and exhorting them to exercise their faith and to grasp all that God has for them. Our God wants you to be His vessel and He wants to prepare you by having His spirit move and work in your life.

You see, I have learned that when I serve god by leading a big life, it not only blesses me but it provides opportunities for others to be blessed as well. Innovating and NOT settling for less means allowing God to expand your imagination, increase your wisdom, and multiply your resources so that your energy on this journey can be sustained and extended. We have a perspective that is limited by what we see, which keeps us from recognizing the invisible and unlimited resources of our heavenly father. It is not your own striving; it is not your own strength that will actually change anything. It is believing that God can cause things to work out together for good as you simply live your life loving Him and knowing that you have been called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

When you are called to venture out to uncharted waters, it can be difficult to take the first steps towards a new discovery, often an unknown one. Confidently walk and construct the dream that God has placed on the inside of you. Go along using the resources that God provides for you and don’t dwell on what you don’t know or what you don’t have. Nothing can open the door to your bright future like a personal revelation of Jesus’ lordship over your life. Step into something new believing that God will keep His promises and will provide the resources to realize the possibility for greatness in your life.
