From time to time, I like to shop online for different items. I usually go to Amazon if I would like to purchase books or Sephora if I need a particular skin care product or make up item. The difference about shopping online or simply going to a store is the availability and wait time associated with the product. It is impossible to purchase something and immediately have it delivered to your door. I have learned that just like shopping; some things just take time.
Our daily challenge is to synchronize our faith with God’s schedule. Destiny is not a drive thru, where you can order _____________ and expect to receive it five minutes later. I have learned that everything God will reveal in your life will be done in stages. In the bible, our ability to exercise our faith is illustrated by sowing seeds and reaping a harvest in due time.
Before you sow a seed, you need to plow the ground first to make sure that the soil is ready for the scattering stage. With time as you continue to take care of the seed, the sprouting stage will take place and you will be ready to harvest the grain. I know what you must be thinking, “Ok Dani, enough with all this agricultural talk. How can I apply this principle to my own life”?
The real question is: How do you relate with impatience when God’s schedule is not synchronized with yours?
The real test of the seed is if it will be able to survive the soil.
The seed is much like our faith.
Our faith is still working when the process is invisible. The thing you have been believing God for is still on schedule. Our heavenly father has not forgotten about you; He is simply protecting you. You don’t have to understand it to walk in it. Your faith, just like the seed, will be able to survive the season of vulnerability. It has a clear, protective coating that will cover {insert your seed here} until it is ready.
Your impatience is your greatest enemy and your greatest strength. Stop focusing on other things that you can be busy with until what you have been believing for arrives, stand still and wait in the comfort of knowing that just as God protects you, He also provides for you. All that you need is on the inside of you. I can’t help but quote one of my favorite scriptures as the Apostle Paul was speaking to the church in Ephesus saying: “God can do anything; you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.” (Ephesians 3:20 MSG)
God never sleeps or slumbers. When you have done all you can do, God is calling you to confidently rest in Him knowing that He’s got this! Don’t be limited by what you see; your faith enables you to synch your calendar with the infinite possibilities that is called your destiny.
Be Still and Listen.
