What a Time to be Alive

“It is clear to us friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put his hand on you for something special.” (1 Thessalonians 1:5 MSG)

If you have been following my posts on social media, you probably saw that I was in the beautiful mountains of Jasper, Ga. serving middle school and high school students as the Wild and Untamed Camp blogger for #WUCamp2016.

The success of Wild and Untamed is not measured by what we accomplish for God but by what we pass on to the next generation

The Well.

My pastor spoke about having the importance of being connected to the well. The well is a place you go to often to draw out water. For us, our everlasting well is the presence and the word of God. However, the local well that I go to multiple times a week is Metro Life Church, my home away from home. Every week, whether it is at our Sunday services or our Young Adult service, I am left changed and renewed after encountering God through the worship and the word.

How refreshing is the well that the enemy tries to keep us from.

I was surrounded by photographers all week and I began to think about the power that is behind capturing the perfect moment. In order do so, you need to have the right vision and the right direction and, the same things goes with our future. Sometimes, we think that the enemy knows it all yet, we tend to give him way more credit than what he deserves. You need to have vision in order to see what is to come. You can’t have vision without having discernment and you can’t have discernment unless you have the Holy Spirit. The enemy might have sight but he doesn’t have vision. He doesn’t have sight unless you speak it.

Jesus was born for the cause and the church is God’s plan for implementing his cause- a cause that is empowered by three dynamic factors: Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Church.

We have no reason to fear because not only has our Father redeemed us and made us whole, but we have been individually named and adopted as God’s own.

Persevere.

It impresses you not when someone has the faithfulness to start something but the fortitude to finish it.

Praise has a way of lifting up your perspective and shows you what God sees beneath your situation.

Obedience is your responsibility; the outcome is Gods.

“And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or knows the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words. God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings, yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, his holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny. So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.” (Romans 8:26-28)

Commit yourself to something you don’t understand yet.

Don’t hold back because of your insecurities.

Expect Nothing and Appreciate Everything.

Live the life that God has called you to live. You won’t know what is ahead of you if you don’t persevere to a moment called now.
