How it all Came to be

Has your day ever started perfectly and then in the afternoon, you receive unexpected news that you were not hoping for?

I know I have. This actually happened to me on Wednesday and in that moment; I had two decisions: either I let the situation I am in affect me and, I walk defeated or; I choose to walk in faith with confidence in God’s ability to see it through.

{#RealTalk} It is because of circumstances similar to this one that, I decided to start Flourishing by Faith a year ago.

According to psychology, Flourishing is defined as living … “within an optimal range of human functioning, one that connotes goodness, generativity, growth, and resilience.”

The Oxford dictionary describes to flourish as a life that is developing rapidly and successfully; thriving.

Faith is the process of adapting your behavior, your decisions, and ultimately, your whole lifestyle so that it is in sync with what God has asked you to do—without needing to see the evidence that it will all work out in the end.

So, when you put Flourishing by Faith together, you are living a life that says:

I pray and then believe.

I expect and then see.

I ask and then I receive.

I am not easily discouraged or paralyzed by fear or insecurity.

Everything God has created is the essence of His beauty.

God gives each of us a measure of faith.

Faith means not knowing why I am going through it but trusting the One who makes a way.

You and I are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Unless you own that space on the inside, it will undermine you every step of the way. If we could just pull back the curtain and see what God is doing, it would make what we are currently experiencing so much easier to take ahold of. Jesus didn’t invite us to safety but to trust Him in faith into the depths of uncertainty.

Those who leave everything in God’s hand will eventually see God’s hand in everything.

God has got you and, you’ve got this!

You can not lead people where you have not been.

A journey with Jesus is not where he moves the obstacles but where He raises the bar of your life and you rise above the obstacle.
