I am so thankful for the people God has placed in my life. Every single person is truly a tremendous blessing, and yesterday was a remind of that. September 18th is my birthday and, my 21st birthday (as cheesy as this may sound) was such a remarkable day for me. It wasn’t the gifts or what I did, it was the people I had around me who celebrated me. My friends, my family, my mentors, and leaders reflected the love that my heavenly father gives to me and that is greater than anything this world has to offer.
As I take a look back into the past, I can’t help but be grateful and thankful to serve a God who is faithful; who gave me a promise when I was a little girl that He would “never leave me nor forsake me” (Hebrews 13:5). There have been seasons with drought and there have been seasons filled with harvest and through it all, I have seen God speak to me audibly as he takes me from glory to glory. I love that about God; a door may close and hardship may come yet God is only preparing you and I to go higher and higher, because that is who He is and as Sons and Daughters that is what He wants us to walk in to.
I am passionate about the kingdom of God and seeing it reflected on earth. Therefore, being able to celebrate my birthday at my favorite place (@MetroLifeChurch) surrounded by the people that I love the most was truly something special. 21 has something significant attached to it and, I know this year will be unlike anything I have experienced. In Hebrew, the number 7 is the number of completion. It symbolizes a covenant promise of holiness and sanctification between God and his people. It just happens to be that 7 times 3 is 21.
When we gather together under the name of Jesus, for His purposes, we can achieve so much more together than we ever could individually and we are even stronger than the sum of our individual parts.
God is always in the business of doing something extraordinary in your life and I can guarantee that it is bigger and better than anything you can have dreamt and imagined. Greater things are possible for you right in the place where God has positioned you. For me, my place is Miami and the specific locations I can currently make a grand impact are at Florida International University and by being connected to my local church and our amazing young adults ministry (#WildAndUntamed).
God is ready to accomplish a kind of greatness in your life that is entirely out of human reach. It is beyond what you see in yourself on you best day and it is E X A C T L Y what God has seen in you all along.
God is calling me to do great things with Him and for Him as His spirit works deeply within me.
I can’t wait for the days that are ahead of me! Can You?
