Faith Talks

“New Year, Same Me” seemed to be everyone’s favorite Instagram caption on January 1st, 2017. I don’t know about you but, I know there are great days ahead of me. God is not done doing a work in me yet and, I want to be intentional with the 356 days that are still left of the year. I know that if I am thinking this way, you are probably too! I don’t want to make my first post in 2017 about the resolutions you and I need to make this year.

My goal isn’t just to be a better daughter, friend, blogger, or even writer; it is to be a better Dani.  Just like our bodies crave and need water every single day, I need to feed my faith and seek God and His presence daily. God knows what is in us for He put it in there and intends to do something with it. Each of us has been given a calling in life. Have you discovered what you are passionate about? What is something that sets your heart on fire and, that you want to make a priority in this new year? Don’t wait until next week or next month to begin making an action plan; Start NOW! Our dreams are not independent from God, but instead exist because of God.

  • Plan and Prepare.
    1. If you want victory and success, put God first.
      1. The reason I named my blog “Flourishing by Faith” is because, this is something I need to do every single day. I don’t have everything figured or altogether, but by His grace and through Faith, I can face what comes my way. What if your reading this and you tell me “Well, I don’t think my faith is as big as yours or, I have never put my faith and trust in God because, I have only relied on my own strength, on my abilities”. Make your relationship with God a priority. It’s not too late to start today!
    2. Don’t let what you don’t have keep you from giving what you what you do have to Jesus. When you give your gifts to God, He will give them back to you better than how you found them.
  • Ask yourself the following questions
    1. Who do you want to become?
    2. Who are you encouraging and praying for (this week, this month, this season, this year)?
    3. What outcomes do you want to see this year?
    4. What do you want to make more time for this year?
    5. What fears are holding you back?
      1. God has called you to walk in faith, not in fear. Fear is the tactic the enemy uses to keep you from living out your purpose.
    6. What do you need to let go of?
    7. What dreams and purposes has God placed on your heart?

You can’t expect true success if you are not willing to walk in close fellowship with him every day.

God is a God of relationships so make them a priority this year!

It is in reaching out to others that ____________________.

  • We become more like Jesus.
  • We ourselves are made whole.

“You crown the year with your goodness and your paths drip with abundance”. Psalm 65:11

You’ve got this!

Xx,

Dani

(ps: Let me know how you are doing; I’d love to hear from you! What are some of your spiritual and personal goals for this season?)
